Flag Sales 

 

Due largely to the initial efforts of Gerald “Jetter” Ballard, Albaugh-McGovern Legion Post 42 has the distinction of being the largest seller of American flags among all Legion posts in the country. Gerald Ballard (1921-2019) was a World War II veteran and 70-year post member.

Post 42 can supply your home and/or business with flags. We sell

the following:

• American flags

• Iowa flags

• POW-MIA flags

 

Post 42 sells flags to help support our post and the Veteran and youth

programs that we sponsor. Our prices are competitive for high quality

flags. All of our flags are 100% made in the USA.

 

 

We will deliver the new flags to you AND take your worn out flags for proper disposal.  

 

If our Legion Post can supply you with new flags, please contact us via email with your information and flag size. When you buy flags from Post 42, you are directly supporting local veterans.

 

Flag Disposal

 

Post 42 also collects unserviceable flags from the public for proper disposal. Drop off your flag at our location in Uptown Ankeny (521 SW 3rd St. Ankeny, Iowa). A flag collection box is located at the front of the building.
